Sony promises better moderation system for LBP– Good stuff, this is how it should be. Deleting users’ created levels without any constructive feedback or explanation is just not on. Hopefully there will be no more community problems like this again with LittleBigPlanet, as it is detracting from what is otherwise, a superb experience.

The flip side of the coin
The flip side of the coin– I’m refering to the bottom half of this article. Sure, LittleBigPlanet isn’t perfect, as many other games out there aren’t. It’s still tremendous fun though. Some of these things can be fixed, but other issues are down to reasonable community moderating.
Criterion Announces Burnout Paradise Legendary Cars
Criterion Announces Burnout Paradise Legendary Cars– I’m going to have to look more into this before making a firm judgement on the ‘hover car’. But right now? Seems ridiculous.
Don’t bite the hand that feeds
Don’t bite the hand that feeds (aka Konami financial results show incredible reliance on PlayStation)- Some choice quotes: “So long as PlayStation can offer these kinds of numbers, Konami may continue being one of Sony’s greatest partners”, “Xbox 360 is home to most of Konami’s multiplatform efforts, and that’s yielded quite an insignificant return”. Full article is worth a read.
LittleBigPlanet European TV spots are genius
LittleBigPlanet European TV spots are genius– Wasn’t too keen on the first one, but the second one ‘rocks’. Get it? Looks like marketing has found an excellent way of describing the undescribable, and communicating across what LittleBigPlanet is all about. A job well done, I’d say.
Sony UK boss on DLC: ‘Nothing is ever exclusive’
Sony UK boss on DLC: ‘Nothing is ever exclusive’– This is a very interesting interview. It has allayed most of my fears about exclusives and whatnot. Seems that whilst Microsoft is engaging in bribery and market restriction, Sony is wisely investing in R&D. My faith in them has been restored.
Sony on PS3 price: We’ve a business to run
Sony on PS3 price: We’ve a business to run– And people have got food to buy, fuel bills to pay. I’d say a PS3 could be considered a luxury these days. In all honesty, I agree that Sony have some fantastic games coming in the pipeline, but the Xbox 360 is sooo much cheaper. Why should Sony waste the momentum they’ve currently got?
New Media Manager for PSP
New Media Manager for PSP– I’m going to have to check this out soon, especially with access to the PlayStation Store now integrated into it. Interesting that they’ve finally made it free (the standard version, anyway), which I’ve been asking for a good couple of years now. Bravo Sony.
Grand Theft Auto IV PS3 Trophies this Monday
Grand Theft Auto IV PS3 Trophies this Monday– As a gamer who hasn’t spent much time on GTA IV at all, this is the incentive I need to sink some hours into it. With many gamers who have already completed GTA IV not fancying playing through it again for the Trophies, is this a stroke of good fortune for me or what?!
Global approval process in the works for PSN
Global approval process in the works for PSN– Sounds like great stuff, making it even easier for developers to get their content on the PlayStation Network (PSN). The PSN is one of the great, open online networks out there: no fees, no overly restrictive requirements on developers and no need for publishers.
